Apple Pie Oatmeal - 1 serving


1/2 medium apple, peeled, cored, and chopped

1/2 tsp. cinnamon

2 tbsp. granulated no-calorie sweetener or 3 packets

1/3 cup old fashioned oats

1/2 tsp. vanilla extract

  1. In a medium, microwave-safe bowl (at least 2 cup capacity), combine the apple, 1/4 cup water, cinnamon, and sweetener, and stir. Microwave on high for 2 minutes.

  2. Remove from microwave and add oats, 3/4 cup water, and vanilla and stir. Microwave on high for 3 more minutes. Remove, stir again, and let cool for 1 minute.
